BATHROOM REMODEL

As you can see this bathroom was a disaster. Besides being thirty years old, the way it was laid out left almost no room to move around.  The bathtub and the tiled set area were way over sized for this space.  Also, the over sized set area made getting in and out of the tub extremely difficult.

The shower was really small and again the tiled set area was taking up too much space.

The toilet area was left the same and the original toilet reused, but the cupboard over the toilet was replaced with one to match the new mirror unit.
Eighteen inch travertine tile was used on the shower walls and on the bathroom floor, making the room look larger.

Decorative one inch travertine and glass tile was used around the shower, window, insets and on the shower floor.

The room was gutted, except for the small wall that stood between the shower and tub.

The wall was cut down to make a pot shelve for  the green and purple Wandering Jew.
Four insets were put into the shower wall, for shampoo, soap etc..  Orchards were put into the top two.

New lights were installed over the shower,

and two shower heads put in, one rain shower head and one hand held
Since the bath tub was hardly ever used, it was decided not to put in a new tub, but install an extra large shower.

The small window over the tub was replaced with a large glass block window to match the glass blocks used around the shower.

The window in the shower stall was replaced with a larger window also.
The old sink and counter were replaced with a smaller one and a mirror with storage units on both sides replaced the single mirror
A bench was installed under the window adding more storage space
.  The old closet mirror doors were also replaced
